Happy New Year 2016 replace 2015 concept on the sea beach

In 2016, we are making some adjustments to our programs a Grace Landing. We have maintained an Independent Living program for young men for the duration of our existence. This year will see us expand begin to offer Independent Living services for young women as well. We are approaching the young women in a slightly different way ( stay tuned for more on that coming soon).
We have found ourselves in need of more beds for young men as well. Over the years, the needs for young men have fluctuated slightly and last quarter of 2015 began to show an increase in need for space for more young men. We are looking to expand the Independent Living offerings for young men this year.

Our Residential Group Care home which we opened in the summer of 2015 is beginning to stabilize (and by stabilize, I mean it has been up and running and we are beginning to feel and understand the rhythm of operating a group home). When we opened it, we had four beds in it and this year we plan to put an additional bed in the group home to allow us to serve five young men still in foster care needing a home environment until they are able to go back to their biological family.

Some additional news regarding the group home, in December we hired new house parents (Kelly & Sheila Gowen) who come to us with tons of experience in ministry. Kelly has served as a youth minister and a senior minster in multiple churches. There is also more news coming about them, but we are super excited to have them on board!

2016 at Grace Landing is going to be a landmark year as we seek to establish ourselves and grow our community connections and involvement. We have many partners helping us to serve the youth of central Florida and we plan to increase those connections and make our footprint in Osceola county and central Florida bigger. We have our sights set on fulfilling the calling God has given us in a bigger way than we have ever before.

We are excited to share our journey with you as we navigate through 2016. Continue to pray for us and the youth we work with. By partnering with us, you are directly involved in impacting the lives of many youth in central Florida.
